About Cole

Bolder Boulder 2010

Cole moved to Colorado at the age of 3, where he was raised and has spent most of his life. After a short venture to the East Coast for his undergraduate education at Princeton University, he returned home to the University of Colorado-Boulder for his graduate work with Kristi Anseth. After his postdoc with David Tirrell at Caltech, he recently joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington as an Assistant Professor so that he could continue his research on biomaterials as well as have the chance to aid in the education of the next generation of scientists.

When he is not in the lab, he loves to ski (in bounds and off-piste), hike, bike, trail run, swim, play tennis, rock climb, cook, and spend time with his dog and his wife (not in that order). He is always up for good conversation or a spontaneous adventure.
